Job description

Build reliability. Learn from a pro. Grow your career.

We’re hiring an Electro‑Mechanical Equipment Technician for a direct‑hire role with an employee‑owned, ISO 9001:2015 certified plastics manufacturer in the Minneapolis area. Since the 1950s, this tight‑knit team has delivered precision plastic and flexible‑material parts for OEMs in powersports, marine, agriculture, heavy truck, medical, and industrial markets.

Why you’ll like it here
  • Mentorship on day one: partner with a veteran maintenance lead who will teach you the equipment inside and out.
  • Stability with upside: established, growing, and investing in people and machines.
  • Direct hire, no probationary temp track.
  • Compensation around $35/hour DOE.
  • Small, friendly crew that takes pride in the work.
Is this you?
  • Hands‑on problem solver who enjoys keeping lines running?
  • Comfortable across mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems?
  • Can read blueprints and wiring schematics without breaking a sweat?
  • Skilled with welding, hand tools, and bench tools?
  • Earned a HS diploma (or equivalent) and added post‑high school mechanic training or equivalent experience?
  • Motivated to keep learning and taking on more?
What you’ll do
  • Troubleshoot and repair hydraulic, pneumatic, mechanical, and electrical machinery supporting thermoforming, die cutting, CNC routing, and plastic fabrication.
  • Carry out preventive maintenance on a defined schedule to maximize uptime.
  • Fabricate and modify parts to solve repeat issues and enhance equipment performance.
  • Use technical drawings and schematics to identify faults and implement fixes.
  • Keep work areas safe, clean, and organized; communicate clearly across shifts.
  • Support initiatives that drive cost savings, quality gains, and productivity improvements; share technical know‑how with teammates.
Physical expectations
  • Standing, walking, lifting, and bending during an 8‑hour shift.
  • Lift up to 40 lbs with good manual dexterity.
About the company

ISO 9001:2015 certified, employee‑owned, and operating since the 1950s—this manufacturer is known for quality and on‑time delivery, serving diverse OEM markets. Big enough to deliver, small enough to care.
