Job Description
The Forklift Operator will safely and efficiently move, pick, pack, check, and load materials throughout the facility and on and off trailers. This position will operate forklift equipment and packing machinery while meeting production, quality, and safety standards. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, dependable, organized, and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment. This role may also assist with inventory control, documentation, equipment inspections, and process improvement.
Responsibilities
  • Operate forklifts, packing machines, and other equipment to safely move and process materials.
  • Pick, pack, check, load, unload, and stage products in designated areas and on trailers.
  • Move palletized and crated materials and stack loads in the appropriate storage locations.
  • Complete production records, forms, inventory documentation, and other required paperwork accurately.
  • Follow company safety policies and quality standards, report hazards or production issues, and perform routine equipment inspections.
Qualifications and Requirements
  • High school diploma, GED, or equivalent required.
  • 5 years of forklift operating experience required.
  • RF Scanner experience preferred.
  • OSHA forklift certification or prior forklift operating experience preferred.
  • Strong attention to detail, basic computer skills, and basic mathematical ability.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, work ethic, organization, and ability to prioritize workload.
  • Ability to take direction from multiple supervisors and work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to follow repetitive work instructions and become cross-trained on different jobs.
  • Willingness to work overtime when needed.
  • Ability to read, write, and speak English proficiently; Spanish is preferred and may be required in some markets.
  • Ability to stand, walk, lift, reach, stoop, kneel, or crouch as needed.
  • Ability to lift up to 25 pounds with or without reasonable assistance.
