Job description

PARCEL PACKER
Automation Personnel Services is looking for a Parcel Packer for a company based in Olive Branch, MS. In this role, you will be responsible for boxing and packaging customer orders that do not meet LTL shipping criteria. The associate makes sure products are picked correctly, packaged securely to prevent damage, labeled properly, and ready for outbound shipment. Employees are also expected to cross – train in other warehouse functions as needed. 

Pay Rate 
$15.75 per hour

Schedule and Hours 
Monday through Friday, 7:00 am to 4 00 pm. (OT starts at 5:00 am) 

Parcel Packer Duties and Responsibilities
  • Pick merchandise to match customer orders.
  • Read and interpret computer-generated/digital pick tickets.
  • Build boxes and prepare appropriate packaging materials. 
  • Package furniture and other products securely to prevent shipping damage. 
  • Use basic computer skills to navigate warehouse/order-processing systems. 
  • Prepare completed packages for outbound shipping.
Parcel Packer Qualifications and Requirements
  • 2 years of warehouse experience
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.
  • Extended standing and walking on concrete as well and frequent lifting, bending, stooping, and reaching.
  • Physical strength and stamina and lift and move heavy loads safely and efficiently.
  • Candidates also need to be able to read and understand customer orders and safety procedures.
