Job Title: Material Handler

Job Description

This role supports a busy warehouse and production printing operation by handling materials, picking orders, maintaining a clean and organized facility, and assisting with production press coverage. You will work in a hands-on, multi-functional position that combines order picking, forklift operation, container unloading, and general warehouse duties. The ideal candidate is dependable, safety-minded, detail-oriented, and enjoys a variety of tasks throughout the day.

Responsibilities

  • Pick warehouse orders accurately and efficiently to support daily production and shipping needs.
  • Operate sit-down and stand-up forklifts safely to move pallets, materials, and finished goods throughout the facility.
  • Use pallet jacks and other material handling equipment to load, unload, and transport products as needed.
  • Help unload containers by hand, ensuring products are handled carefully and placed in the correct locations.
  • Support shipping and receiving activities by assisting with packing, staging, and organizing outgoing and incoming materials.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized warehouse and production area by performing regular housekeeping tasks.
  • Cover breaks on production printing presses and assist with general production tasks as needed.
  • Monitor warehouse inventory locations and support basic inventory control activities.
  • Follow all safety procedures and guidelines while operating equipment and moving materials.
  • Collaborate with team members and communicate effectively to keep operations running smoothly.
  • Use computers, iPads, and software systems to access orders, update information, and support warehouse workflows.
  • Adapt to changing priorities and step into different tasks across the warehouse and production floor as required.

Essential Skills

  • At least 1+ years of manufacturing experience.
  • At least 1+ years of material handling or similar experience.
  • Sit-down forklift operating experience and demonstrated ability to operate safely.
  • Experience with general warehouse activities such as picking, packing, shipping, and receiving.
  • Ability to operate pallet jacks and other basic material handling equipment.
  • Basic computer literacy, including the ability to use an iPad and learn new software systems.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds safely and repeatedly as part of daily duties.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy in order picking and material handling.
  • Dependable, safety-minded work habits and a positive, engaging attitude.
  • Willingness to learn, adapt, and take on a variety of tasks in a fast-paced environment.

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $25.00/hr.
