Job description

Temporary Package Handler 
Automation Personnel Services is seeking experienced Temporary Package Handler for a warehouse in Knoxville, TN. This position will assist with shipping and receiving activities, including unloading trucks, checking in merchandise, matching purchase orders to sales orders and distributing orders to sales associates for processing.
 
Pay Rate
$16.00 per hour
 
Shifts and Schedules
12:00am-8:00am with 4- hour notice of shift.
Hours vary based on workload
 
Temporary Package Handler Duties and Responsibilities 
• Read customer orders, work orders, shipping orders and requisitions
• Determine items to be moved, gathered, distributed and/or shipped
• Assemble products and participate in inventory counts as needed
• Take check calls from drivers, ensuring that loads will deliver on time
• Monitor daily pick-ups and deliveries
 
Temporary Package Handler Qualifications and Requirements 
• Basic computer skills and use of RF scanners is a MUST
• Preferred general warehouse experience
• Must be able to lift, push and pull 50lbs consistently (an in-office assessment will be performed)
• Must be comfortable working in a non-climate-controlled environment
