Job description

Hospital is seeking a Board-Certified Breast Radiologist to provide locum tenens coverage in our outpatient radiology department. This role is designed to address a scheduling need and requires a physician with fellowship training in breast imaging. The provider will deliver high-quality diagnostic and procedural services while collaborating closely with multidisciplinary teams.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform screening and diagnostic mammography, breast ultrasound, and breast MRI.
  • Conduct image-guided procedures including biopsies, localizations, and aspirations.
  • Ensure compliance with BI-RADS and MQSA standards.
  • Provide same-day diagnostic workups and communicate results directly with patients.
  • Collaborate with technologists, nurses, surgeons, and oncology teams in a fast-paced clinical environment.
  • Utilize Cerner EMR and Change Health PACS (transitioning to Sectra PACS in July).
  • Scheduled hours: 8:00 AM 4:00 PM

    • Admissions: Required
    • Privileges: Hospital/surgery center privileges required (temporary privileges not available)
    • Supervision: Resident/teaching supervision required; no supervision of APPs.
    Qualifications
    • Board Certification: Required (Breast Radiology specialty).
    • Fellowship: Breast Imaging Fellowship required.
    • Licensure: Must hold a valid Michigan medical license.
    • Certifications:
      • BLS: Required
      • ACLS/ATLS/PALS: Not required
