Temporary Export Associate

Location: Onsite in Mount Prospect
Pay Rate: $24/hour
Schedule: Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM
Employment Type: Temporary Assignment

Position Overview

We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Temporary Export Associate to support daily export and shipping operations in a fast-paced logistics environment. This role is responsible for preparing outbound export shipments, maintaining accurate shipping documentation, updating shipment tracking systems, and ensuring compliance with export procedures and international shipping requirements.

The ideal candidate is highly organized, comfortable working with shipment documentation and data entry systems, and able to safely handle physical shipment preparation activities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare, organize, and process outbound export shipments according to company procedures and export regulations
  • Accurately enter and maintain Air Waybill (AWB) information and shipment details within internal systems
  • Upload, organize, and verify export documentation including:
    • Commercial invoices
    • Packing lists
    • Shipping labels
    • Shipment records
  • Ensure all shipment documentation is accurate, complete, and compliant
  • Safely lift, move, weigh, and prepare outbound shipments for dispatch
  • Coordinate with warehouse personnel, logistics providers, and internal departments to ensure timely shipment processing
  • Maintain shipment traceability and documentation accuracy throughout the export process
  • Follow all company policies, export compliance standards, and operational procedures
  • Support additional logistics and shipping functions as needed

Requirements

  • Ability to independently lift and move packages weighing up to 50 lbs regularly
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and documentation handling
  • Comfortable working with Microsoft Office and internal shipping or warehouse systems
  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills
  • Ability to work efficiently in a deadline-driven environment
  • Effective communication and teamwork skills

Preferred Qualifications
