Job Description

As a Security Officer Unarmed Alarm Response Driver in Fort Wayne, IN, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries. As an Unarmed Security Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol an assigned construction location, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, and support access control and alarm response activities. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to clients, visitors, contractors, and/or employees while carrying out site-specific security-related procedures and emergency response activities as appropriate.
  • Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of construction areas, access points, parking areas, perimeter boundaries, and/or temporary facilities, documenting observations and irregular conditions.
  • Monitor access to the location by checking credentials, directing authorized personnel and deliveries, and reporting unauthorized entry attempts or suspicious activity.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; notify appropriate site contacts and emergency responders when needed.
  • Maintain accurate activity logs, incident reports, and shift documentation, and communicate relevant information to Allied Universal leadership and site representatives.

Minimum Requirements:

  • A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Experience with alarm panels is preferred.
  • Experience with access control and badge systems is preferred.
  • Loss prevention experience is preferred.
  • At this site there are limited on-site facilities such as portable toilets and rustic guard shacks.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
