DC VIDEO PRODUCER - DAILYMAIL.COM

DailyMail.com is seeking a sharp, creative, and highly adaptable Video Producer to join our Washington DC bureau.

This role is focused on filming, producing and editing high-impact video content around politics for our site and social platforms. You will work closely with our DC correspondents, filming interviews, reporter analysis, and covering hearings and political events. You must be efficient at delivering clean, engaging edits at speed for a global audience.

 KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Film Daily Mail correspondents and contributors for on-camera reports, interviews and analysis

Cover press briefings, political events, and breaking political news

Produce high-quality video packages from field shoots and in-office setups

Clip and edit key moments from press conferences, hearings, and live feeds

Edit fast-turnaround video for DailyMail.com, Instagram, TikTok, X and YouTube

Collaborate with reporters and editors to identify strong visual angles on breaking stories

Ensure footage is properly logged, archived, and delivered quickly to the newsroom

Uphold strict editorial ethics, legal, and copyright standards across all video output

 ABOUT YOU

4+ years of experience shooting and editing video in a fast-paced newsroom

A confident camera operator comfortable filming interviews, pieces to camera and live events

Strong editing instincts with the ability to deliver clean, compelling edits quickly

Experienced covering breaking news or political reporting

Ability to deliver work in a fast-moving newsroom and adapting quickly to changing priorities

Strong collaborator who works well with reporters and editors in the field

Highly organized and able to manage multiple shoots and edits under tight deadlines

SKILLS NEEDED

Advanced proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro

Desirable: Working knowledge of Adobe After Effects for simple motion graphics and visual enhancements

Experience shooting with professional video cameras and audio equipment

Strong understanding of lighting interviews and stand-ups in both studio and field environments

Experience editing vertical and platform-specific video formats

Ability to clip and rapidly package video from live feeds and press events

Understanding of newsroom workflows, CMS systems, and digital publishing tools

Familiarity with social video formats and audience engagement strategies
