Camera Operator:

Weigel Broadcasting in Chicago, IL, is seeking a thoughtful, detail-oriented, and hardworking Camera Operator to join its creative team. 


What You'll Do 

Work directly with Weigel's Director, Production and Creative Team to produce high quality videography while recording show related elements 

Assist and fill in for various roles on the Production Team during tapings including handheld camera, audio, floor direction and teleprompter

Provide support for field shoots and daily production needs 

Communicate effectively across departments

Perform additional duties, as assigned


What You'll Bring

2-3 years of experience in broadcast, digital, or cable, in a video production-oriented role as a videographer

Hands-on experience with Sony PTZ, ENG-style cameras, and Steadicam preferred 

Strong organizational, time management, and prioritization abilities 

Proactive, reliable, and technically proficient 

Flexible availability, including evenings and weekends 

Capable of lifting and moving equipment up to 50 lbs

Pursuant to state and local pay disclosure requirements, the pay rate/range for this role, with final offer amount dependent on education, skills, experience, and location is $20.50-$22.50 an hour. This role is also eligible for various benefits, including medical/dental/vision, insurance, a 401(k) plan, paid time off, and other benefits in accordance with applicable plan documents. Benefits for Union represented employees will be in accordance with the applicable collective bargaining agreement.
