The Café Attendant is a part-time seasonal or full-time, year round position in the Inn Café at the Inn at Bay Harbor. The primary focus of the café attendant is to provide quality service to guests by preparing and serving coffee related beverages and assorted snack foods.


Responsibilities
  • Prepare and serve hot or cold beverages, such as coffee, espresso drinks, blended coffees, or teas.
  • Clean or sanitize work areas, utensils, and equipment.
  • Check temperatures of freezers, refrigerators, or heating equipment to ensure proper functioning.
  • Describe menu items to customers or suggest products that might appeal to them.
  • Order, receive, or stock supplies or retail products.
  • Provide customers with product details, such as coffee blend or preparation descriptions.
  • Receive and process customer payments.
  • Serve prepared foods, such as muffins, biscotti, or bagels.
  • Stock customer service stations with paper products or beverage preparation items.
  • Take out garbage.
  • Create signs to advertise store products or events.
  • Prepare or serve menu items, such as sandwiches or salads.
  • Set up or restock product displays.
  • High quality service and attention to retail, sales, and service. 

Qualifications
  • Must work well under pressure.
  • Prior guest service and money handling experience preferred.
  • Applicants must be at least 18 years old and be available to work nights, weekends, and holidays.
