PRN CRNA Position  $145/hour Optional Call

LifeLinc Anesthesia is seeking skilled Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetists (CRNAs) to join our team at Magnolia Regional Medical Center in Corinth, MS. About the Facility: 

Magnolia Regional Health Center is a 200-bed acute care community hospital located in Corinth, Mississippi. Jointly owned by the City of Corinth and Alcorn County, the hospital is a regional healthcare leader serving a multi-county area that includes Northeast Mississippi and parts of Southern Tennessee. The facility is fully accredited, reflecting its commitment to high standards of quality and safety in patient care.

 Case Mix: General, Obstetric, Urologic, Pulmonary, Pediatric, Orthopedic and Cardiovascular

Schedule: 

Monday-Friday 7a-3pm as needed. Call is optional

 Benefits:

Benefits are available to employees working 30 or more hours per week.  This position is not benefit eligible.

Responsibilities

Administrative Duties: 

  • The CRNA must function as a collaborator and team member to accomplishapplicable goals and functions ofLifeLinc. 
  • Develop standards for continuity of care and case management.
  • Remains cognizantof rules and regulation as they pertain to the American Association of Nurse Anesthetists and remains compliant at a local, state, and federal level. 

 

Clinical Duties: 

The CRNA scope of practice includes, but is not limited to, the following: 

  • Performing andtimely and accurately documentingapre-anesthetic assessmentsand patientevaluations, including requesting consultations and diagnostic studies; selecting, obtaining, ordering, or administering pre-anesthetic medications and fluids; and obtaining informed consent for anesthesia. 
  • Theday-to-dayresponsibility of the CRNA for this position will be toprovide professionalanesthesiaservices to patients in accordance with the standard of care and state and federal laws and may include any of all of the following: 
  • Managing a patient's airway.
  • Managing emergence and recovery from anesthesia.
  • Releasing or discharging patients from a post-anesthesia care area, andproviding post-anesthesia follow-up evaluation and care related to anesthesia side effects or complications. 
  • Responding to emergency situations by providing airway management, administration of emergency fluids or drugs, or using basic or advanced cardiac life support techniques.
  • Additional nurse anesthesia responsibilities which are within the expertise of the individual CRNA.

Communication: 

  • Attends meetings as needed
  • Works with peers to obtain required information on a timelybasis and to solve outstanding issues, as appropriate. 

Promotes and contributes positively to the teamwork of the department by assisting coworkers, contributing ideas and problem-solving with co-workers.

Qualifications

  • ACLS/BLS/PALS certification
