Job description

Machine Operator – Stamping Press (Temp-to-Hire)
Location: Essex area, CT

Are you an experienced Machine Operator looking for a long-term opportunity? We're seeking a reliable, detail-oriented Machine Operator to join a growing manufacturing team. This is a temp-to-hire position offering competitive pay and excellent growth potential.

Schedule
  • Training: 1st Shift | Monday–Friday | 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM (4–6 weeks)
  • Regular Schedule: 2nd Shift | Monday–Friday | 3:30 PM – 12:00 AM
Training will be completed on 1st shift before transitioning to 2nd shift.

Pay
Up to $24.00/hour, depending on experience.
You'll receive your full 2nd shift pay rate during the 1st shift training period.

Responsibilities
  • Set up and operate stamping presses and forming press machines.
  • Install and adjust press tooling for production runs.
  • Monitor machine performance and make necessary adjustments.
  • Perform quality checks to ensure parts meet specifications.
  • Read and follow work instructions and production schedules.
  • Maintain a clean and safe work area.
  • Work independently while meeting production goals.
Qualifications
  • Previous experience operating and setting up stamping presses or similar manufacturing equipment required.
  • Ability to set up press tooling and perform machine changeovers.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Attention to detail and commitment to producing quality parts.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and stand for extended periods.
