We are currently seeking a Locum MD (Medical Doctor) specializing in Gastroenterology . As a Locum MD, you will play a crucial role in providing temporary medical services in the field of Gastroenterology. This position is vital for ensuring continuity of care for patients and supporting healthcare facilities during staff shortages. You will be involved in a variety of gastroenterology projects, contributing to the overall well-being of patients.

Responsibilities:
  • Conducting consultations with patients to assess their gastrointestinal health.
  • Performing diagnostic procedures such as endoscopies and colonoscopies.
  • Developing treatment plans and providing ongoing care for patients with gastrointestinal conditions.
  • Collaborating with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care.
  • Keeping detailed and accurate medical records of patients' conditions and treatment plans.
  • Educating patients about their gastrointestinal health and preventive measures.
  • Participating in multidisciplinary team meetings to discuss patient cases and treatment strategies.
  • Staying updated on the latest advancements in gastroenterology and incorporating best practices into clinical work.
Requirements:
  • Medical degree and board certification in Gastroenterology.
  • Valid state medical license to practice as a Gastroenterologist.
  • Demonstrated experience in diagnosing and treating a wide range of gastrointestinal conditions.
  • Strong communication skills to interact effectively with patients and healthcare team members.
  • Ability to work well under pressure and make sound decisions in emergency situations.
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
  • Commitment to providing high-quality and compassionate patient care.
  • Willingness to adhere to ethical and professional standards in medical practice.

Schedule: 24-hour call shifts, specific dates

Setting: Inpatient

Daily Volume: 5-10 consults per day

All general GI procedures required

Must be board-certified

Paid travel & expenses
