Location: Conyers, GA (Atlanta Metro Area)
Salary: $110,000-$150,000


Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Mechanical Project Manager to lead commercial HVAC construction projects from preconstruction through closeout. This role is responsible for managing budgets, schedules, subcontractors, and client relationships while ensuring projects are delivered safely, efficiently, and to the highest quality standards.

The ideal candidate is experienced in commercial HVAC installation and comfortable managing projects ranging from small service-related scopes to large-scale new construction builds. This individual will play a key role in ensuring projects are executed according to plans and specifications while maintaining our reputation for dependability and quality workmanship.


Key Responsibilities

  • Manage commercial HVAC construction projects from preconstruction through completion
  • Coordinate with field teams, subcontractors, vendors, general contractors, and clients
  • Develop and maintain project budgets, schedules, and cost controls
  • Oversee installation of HVAC systems including ductwork, piping, and equipment
  • Review project drawings and specifications to identify scope gaps and ensure constructability
  • Adapt to changing project schedules, field conditions, and design updates
  • Track RFIs, submittals, change orders, and project documentation
  • Monitor project progress, installation quality, and system performance
  • Lead project meetings and provide regular updates to internal and external stakeholders

Qualifications

  • 3+ years of experience in mechanical project management (Ideally HVAC focused)
  • Experience managing commercial construction HVAC projects
  • Strong knowledge of HVAC systems, including split systems, VRF, chilled water, and packaged units
  • Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications
  • Proven ability to manage budgets, schedules, and multiple projects simultaneously
  • Strong understanding of jobsite safety practices and OSHA compliance
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills

Preferred

  • Experience with new construction HVAC installation projects
  • Experience working across multiple facility types (retail, education, manufacturing, etc.)
  • Background working for a mechanical contractor
