We are seeking a Mechanical Engineer/Installation Supervisor to join our Group Technology team! This position requires field based supervision and installationand the ability to relocate for extended time periods to project sites.

**We are unable to provide sponsorship for this position.**

You'll have the opportunity to work on projects for extended periods of time in the U.S. and/or Canada/Europe. You'll be instrumental in the planning and implementation of our new factory in Wallula, WA.

What You Will Be Doing

You'll own the site installation, testing and commissioning of our production equipment and solutions. Working with mainly installation, commissioning, and running-in of major projects, you'll ensure that all equipment within the factory is supplied where required.

As an expert, we look for your expertise:

  • Take full responsibility for project execution with respect to installation, testing and commissioning
  • Onsite supervision of install crews of suppliers/contractors and follow up to ensure compliance with requirements is paramount. Project management experience required
  • Ensure that all site work is done safely and in accordance with best practice site safety
  • Ensure all documentation / reporting is done and archived following company directives and Group Technology rules, and available tools
  • Ensure that the necessary expertise from other departments - environment, safety, MMR's, are included in solutions
  • Occasional travel inside and outside of North America is to be expected for project execution, supplier visits, coordination, etc.

What You Bring

  • Degree in Mechanical Engineering or experience in lieu of degree
  • 5+ years working in a similar position, with site installation and machine construction
  • 80% of the time on project sites, requiring temporary relocation for 2+ years at a time for projects
  • Strong communication skills
  • Ability to travel occasionally, both nationally and internationally
  • Preference given to candidates who have smith, mechanic or other type of craftsman expertise

The base salary range for this position is $115,000.00 - 135,000.00. Your base salary is determined based on location, experience and the pay of employees in similar positions.
