Shift: Monday to Friday from 07:00AM to 03:30PM
Summary
- The Material Handler is responsible for supporting warehouse operations including shipping, receiving, storage, and order fulfillment.
- This role ensures accurate handling of materials, inventory control, and timely delivery of products while maintaining high quality and compliance standards in a temperature-controlled warehouse environment.
Responsibilities
- Pick, pack, sort, arrange, count, and store materials according to established procedures.
- Process items for shipment ensuring accuracy and timely delivery to customers.
- Receive incoming materials and verify quantity, quality, and documentation (e.g., packing lists).
- Maintain accurate inventory and proper storage of materials.
- Operate warehouse and distribution equipment safely.
- Work in various temperature-controlled environments including room temperature, cold rooms, and freezer conditions.
- Follow company procedures, ISO standards, and quality policies.
- Maintain documentation and ensure compliance with training and operational standards.
- Communicate effectively with team members and support internal operations.
- Identify and report discrepancies or deviations from standard processes.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment.
Required Skills
- High School Diploma or GED.
- 0–2 years of experience in warehouse, logistics, or material handling.
- Experience in logistics within life sciences or regulated environments.
- Familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS).
- Experience handling temperature-sensitive or hazardous materials.
- Ability to lift up to 25 lbs continuously and up to 50 lbs occasionally.
- Frequent walking, standing, reaching, pushing, pulling, and climbing.
- Work in temperature-controlled environments including freezer conditions.
- Exposure to moderate to high noise levels.
- Ability to perform repetitive tasks in a fast-paced warehouse environment.
- Basic understanding of shipping, receiving, and inventory control processes.
- Ability to follow procedures, instructions, and meet deadlines.
- Ability to operate powered industrial equipment (or willingness to learn).
- Basic computer skills (ERP systems, Outlook, shipping software).
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to work flexible schedules and shifts as needed.
