Job overview and responsibilities
The role of a Scrum master is a pivotal role in guiding Agile teams to deliver high-quality, business-critical products. Your responsibilities will include facilitating Agile ceremonies, identifying and removing impediments, and coaching both the team and stakeholders on Agile principles and practices. You will be instrumental in cultivating a culture of continuous improvement, empowering teams, and fostering seamless cross-functional collaboration.
  • Agile Facilitation:
    • Guide and support Agile teams by facilitating Scrum ceremonies: Daily Stand-ups, Sprint Planning, Sprint Reviews, and Retrospectives
  • Impediment Removal:
    • Identify, track, and eliminate blockers to team progress through problem-solving and escalation
    • Partner with leadership and functional groups to resolve dependencies and constraints
  • Team Coaching:
    • Coach team members and product managers on Agile principles, practices, and frameworks
    • Foster a culture of accountability, transparency, and continuous learning with the team
    • Organize and conduct training sessions to enhance team members' skills in Agile methodologies
  • Delivery Oversight:
    • Ensure teams are delivering work in alignment with sprint goals and release timelines
    • Use Agile metrics (velocity, burndown, cycle time) to provide insight into team performance and opportunities for improvement
    • Support the team and stakeholders in adapting to changes in project scope or direction
  • Stakeholder Communication:

Qualifications
What's needed to succeed (Minimum Qualifications):
  • Bachelor's degree
  • Business Administration, Computer Science, Engineering or related field
  • 4+ years in technology development roles (BA, Release management etc..)
  • Strong understanding of Scrum, Kanban, and other Agile frameworks
  • Experience working with Agile project management tools such as Jira, Confluence, or Azure DevOps
  • Excellent communication, facilitation, and conflict resolution skills
  • Ability to lead by example, demonstrating strong servant leadership and a focus on team empowerment
  • Experience working in a collaborative, cross-functional Agile environment, with a strong focus on delivering value
  • Ability to manage and resolve conflict effectively, keeping the team focused on achieving sprint goals
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple teams or projects concurrently
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States for any employer without sponsorship
  • Successful completion of interview required to meet job qualification
  • Reliable, punctual attendance is an essential function of the position
