Job description

R C Marine Electric is seeking a full time marine electrical and electronics technician in the Newport RI area.

Responsibilities include but not limited to:

Performing electrical and electronics service and repair tasks on boats.

Use of various power and hand-tools.

Installation of complete electrical/electronic systems.

Troubleshooting electrical and electronics systems problems.

Install and troubleshoot all forms of electrical and electronic marine systems and equipment. Some examples are: radar, GPS, antennas, motors, pumps, generators, thrusters, and switches.

Provide creative solutions to installation problems and set up.

Knowledge of how to operate marine electronics.

Perform software programming as necessary.

Must be skilled in reading, drawing and interpreting blueprints, wiring diagrams and schematics.

Must be able to perform software updates to various electronics.

Must be able to lift 100lbs

Must be willing to travel as job requirements dictate.

Ability to communicate with customers

Ability to take instruction

Ability to work in small spaces

Ability to climb ladders with tools
