Job description


The USF Health College of Nursing is one of 14 colleges at the University of South Florida and one of four that make up USF Health. Responsibilities
This position is responsible for delivering high-quality instruction in prerequisite science courses that support
students pursuing healthcare and related professional programs. Adjunct faculty may teach undergraduate courses in lecture, laboratory, hybrid, or online formats, depending on program needs. Faculty are expected to foster student success through effective teaching, mentoring, and academic support. Adjunct faculty are encouraged to engage in college, university, community, and professional service activities.
Teach undergraduate prerequisite science courses, including Microbiology
Human Anatomy and Physiology I and II
Related laboratory courses, as assigned
Teaching assignments will be made according to the College's curricular needs and priorities and may include
Undergraduate Didactic Instruction
Undergraduate Laboratory Instruction
Face-to-Face, Hybrid, and/or Online Courses

Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications:
Master's degree from an accredited institution in Biology, Microbiology, Anatomy, Physiology, Biomedical Sciences, Health Sciences, or a closely related field.
Additional Minimum Qualifications:
Minimum of 18 graduate credit hours in Microbiology, Anatomy, Physiology, or a related biological science discipline.
Demonstrated expertise in the discipline(s) taught.
Ability to teach laboratory courses using standard microbiological and anatomical/physiological laboratory
techniques.
Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
Must have reliable transportation and be able to travel to assigned campus locations.
Preferred Qualifications:
Previous college-level teaching experience, preferably in Anatomy & Physiology and/or Microbiology.
Experience working with students pursuing nursing, health sciences, or other healthcare professions.
Familiarity with learning management systems and educational technologies.
