Job Title: Blow Mold Machine Operator

Shift: 3rd (7P-7A) rotating 12hr 2-2-3 shift

Job Description

The Blow Mold Machine Operator sets up and operates blow-mold machines, grinders, trimmers, and conveyor systems in a high-volume manufacturing environment. This role monitors equipment performance, troubleshoots process issues, and performs minor maintenance to keep the production line running efficiently while consistently following Good Manufacturing Practices and safe work practices.

Responsibilities

  • Operate blow-mold machines, grinders, trimmer machines, and conveyor systems to support continuous production.
  • Monitor machine performance and product quality, making necessary adjustments to maintain consistent output.
  • Troubleshoot process problems on blow molding, injection, and extrusion equipment to minimize downtime.
  • Perform minor mechanical maintenance and basic repairs on production equipment as needed.
  • Follow established Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and safe work practices at all times.
  • Identify and communicate production issues and improvement opportunities to support continuous improvement efforts.
  • Work effectively with team members and other departments to meet production goals and deadlines.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area around machines and equipment.
  • Use effective communication to report equipment issues, safety concerns, and production status to supervisors and team members.
  • Manage time and tasks independently to keep machines running and production targets on track.

Essential Skills

  • 1–3 years of machine operating experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Hands-on experience operating production machinery such as conveyors, grinders, and molding equipment.

The production environment includes regular exposure to moving mechanical parts and a consistently loud noise level. Temperatures inside the plant fluctuate between hot and cold depending on the season. Personal protective equipment (PPE) is required in the production department and other designated areas. The position involves working on and around blow molding, injection, extrusion, conveyor, and grinding equipment in an active, fast-paced production setting.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $22.50 - $22.50/hr.
