What your day looks like

Join a leading manufacturer near Decatur, AL as a CNC-focused metal cutting operator. From clock-in to close, you’ll translate drawings into precision-cut metal plates, keep production flowing, and collaborate closely with fabrication and welding teams.

A day in the role
  • Review work orders and job specs, then load metal sheets/plates onto the cutting equipment safely.
  • Set up machines and programs, dialing in parameters like speed and amperage to match each job.
  • Run parts and verify accuracy with calipers and tape measures; make adjustments for tight tolerances.
  • Keep equipment clean and perform basic preventive maintenance to maximize uptime.
  • Coordinate handoffs with fabrication and welding so jobs move seamlessly through the shop.
What you bring
  • Comfort standing and walking for a full shift; able to lift up to 50 lbs as needed.
  • Commitment to safety and proper PPE at all times.
