Job Overview

As a Van Driver, I safely transport clients to and from the program while adhering to all traffic laws and maintaining scheduled routes. I assist with vehicle upkeep to ensure reliability and cleanliness. Additionally, I supervise passengers during transport to promote a safe and supportive environment.

Program Info

The Partial Care program assists individuals who have severe and persistent mental illness with developing the skills and support necessary to live, learn and work with the least amount of intervention from the behavioral health system. The Partial Care program offers comprehensive, individualized, and quality behavioral health treatment within a group setting, designed to promote maximum independence in the least restrictive setting.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Performs a variety of routine tasks related to transporting clients to and from the program such as observing all traffic regulations, planning, scheduling and routing trips.
  • Responsible for assisting in van maintenance, and providing supervision to the passengers to ensure a safe environment during transport.

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Must have and maintain a valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record
  • Must be sensitive, flexible and responsive to gender, race, ethnicity, socio-economic status, religion, age, sexual orientation or any other special needs as reflected in the ability to communicate with staff and/or clients.
  • Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
  • Must be able to talk, listen and speak clearly on the telephone
  • Occasionally required to stand; walk, sit use hands to finger, handle or feel objects, tools or controls; reach with hands and arms; climb stairs; balance; stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl; talk to hear; taste or smell.

Additional Information:

  • Hourly Rate: $15.92
  • Sign-on Bonus: $200
  • Schedule: Afternoons and Evenings
  • Bilingual Rate: An additional $1.50/hourly incentive added if Spanish proficient
