Job description

County Environmental Laboratory Analyst, Temporary, Full Time
Monday - Friday 8 am - 4:30 pm
An Environmental Laboratory Analyst, under general supervision, performs routine laboratory analysis of wastewater and water samples.
Typical tasks would include such activities as:
  • collecting samples in the field
  • recording pertinent data
  • cleaning laboratory glassware
  • LIMS data entry

An Environmental Laboratory Analyst must be capable of working in all types of weather conditions and able to lift up to 50 pounds.
Standard laboratory conditions consist of working with some hazardous chemicals and offensive odors.
Must possess a valid driver's license.
Possess an Associate's degree (or the equivalent of 2 years college courses) with major course work in Chemistry, Biology, Physics, Environmental Studies, Geology or a closely related field and/or have a minimum of one year full-time paid work experience in a laboratory setting.
