Where You Will Work Located approximately 50 miles northeast of Safford, Arizona on U.S. Highway 191, Morenci operations (an open-pit copper mining complex) has been in continuous operation since 1939. The operation consists of two concentrators, crushed-ore leach pad and stacking system, a low-grade run-of-mine (ROM) leaching system; four SX plants; and three EW tank houses that produce copper cathode

What You Will Do Employee who under general supervision safely performs duties related to the production of copper and/or molybdenum concentrates in the Mill at a highly skilled level. In this role, you complete duties within the Mill process across areas such as the fine crushing plant, COB, ball mill, roughers, cleaners, flotation cells, moly plant, copper moly thickeners, tailing thickeners, and the mill control room.

You take process readings and make necessary changes or adjustments, use electronic process monitoring systems to monitor conveyors, plant systems, and equipment, and perform plant and system start-ups and shut-downs. You mentor and train other employees, act as a fill-in supervisor as needed, operate processing equipment, adjust, perform basic maintenance, and report maintenance issues. As Mill Operator II, you operate mobile equipment such as front-end loaders, forklifts, skid-steer loaders, overhead cranes.

You perform area housekeeping, may conduct work area and safety audits, and perform other duties as required. What You Bring To Freeport Two (2) years' experience in Mill process operations Knowledge of the wet grind system and flow systems through mill and flotation area Knowledge of the filtering and drying process May be required to complete HAZMAT training as required by Department of Transportation regulations Knowledge of the placard system to accurately identify hazardous materials Knowledge of environmental policies and responsibility for reporting any issues and/or concerns Preferred Qualifications High School Diploma or GED What We Offer You The estimated pay range for this role is currently$27.00 - $36.00/hour. This range reflects base salary only and does not include bonus payments, benefits or retirement contributions

Actual base pay is determined by experience, qualifications, skills and other job-related factors. This role is eligible for additional discretionary and incentive payment considerations based on company and individual performance. More details will be shared during the hiring process.
