Job description

Eaton's IS AER FED division is currently seeking a Machine Operator (Crane) - Weekend Nights to join our team in Middlesex, NC. This is a weekend position that will work from 6 pm - 6:30 am, Friday - Sunday. The hourly rate for this position is $24.04 per hour

What you'll do: The Machine Operator (Crane) is responsible for setting up and operating braiders, wire winders and yarn winders.

This includes but is not limited to operating the overhead crane to move hoses, ensuring braiders are set up correctly and running properly, and running wire and yarn to specifications. Home Job Areas: Braider 1 Braider 2 Braider 3 and 7 Wire winders Magnatech Yarn Winder and Herzog Yarn Winder In this role, you will: Move materials and carriers based on work order and set up sheets to work station Set up braider: string up carriers, loading carriers onto braiders, pull wire from carrier to hook, feed mandrel/hose into the braider, set up layline printer and tape machine Complete quality checks on braided hose, this includes pick counts, outer diameter and inner diameter checks and lay line verification Place braider hose on pallets Strip and set-up winders, be able to perform daily maintenance on wire winder which includes tension checks, roller checks and break pad changes etc. Operate over to bake wire Move wire or yarn from storage to work area based on router and work order Use over head hoist to lift spools of wire onto wire winders Pull catenary to ensure wire meets specified quality standards Proof test samples of finished hose Load and strip PTFE tubing from steel mandrels before/after braiding.

Utilize overhead crane to move mandrels to/from braiders Operators must safely operate the crane to transport poles and product through the department. Perform duties relative to production in the assigned area and is able to operate all equipment and machinery in the assigned area. Produce a quality product, safely, on-time, and with the least cost possible.

Review work orders, specifications or instructions to determine material, ingredients, procedures, components and settings. Accurately record data on process routers. Accurately complete computer transactions as necessary (labor & scrap transactions, inventory disbursements & cycle counts, etc.)

Participate in cell/team activities including, but not limited to, team meetings, problem-solving, CI events, etc. Maintain a safe, clean and orderly work environment through effective housekeeping, 5S+ and TPM practices Follow all plant, safety, and environmental rules and regulations. Support plant lean, safety, quality and continuous improvement efforts.

Model the Eaton ethical conduct policy, Eaton Leadership Model, the Eaton Values and Philosophy, and comply with all other corporate, plant, and regulatory policies and regulations as applicable. Qualifications: Required (Basic) Qualifications: High school diploma or GED equivalent from an accredited institution. Minimum of 2 years of manufacturing experience Eaton will not consider applicants for employment immigration sponsorship or support for this position.

Preferred Qualifications: 3+ years of manufacturing experience 1 year experience with computer transactions in ERP system 1 year experience with overhead crane 1 year of experience working in aerospace manufacturing Skills: Basic math skills, strong verbal and written communication skills, problem-solving, prioritization, interpersonal and decision-making skills. Strong attention to detail Ability to work on a team Ability to learn computer transactions and learn and successfully operate production equipment Ability to lift up to 30 pounds unaided with or without reasonable accommodation. Additional Information: Safety Responsibilities 1) Know and follow established job specific and facility wide health and safety procedures.

2) Bring health and safety issues, unsafe acts and safety suggestions to management's attention and correct those they can. 3) Actively participate in accident, injury and illness prevention activities: Assist in developing work station risk assessments. 6) Know and implement regulatory compliance requirements in designated work area. Working Conditions Physical Environment Located in a comfortable indoor area. Conditions may produce some discomfort, e.g

exposure to moving machinery, noise, dust, grease/oil and fumes. Sensory Attention Almost constant need to give concentrated attention where multiple stimuli are changing quickly, and where two or more senses must be used in coordination. All positions may require participation in video and in-person interviews as part of the hiring process.
