Schedule / Job Type

Contract | 3 x 12-hour shifts per week (36 hrs/week) | Days/Evenings | 6:45 PM – 6:45 AM

Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinates and provides high-quality patient care utilizing the nursing process and unit-specific standards of practice
  • Develops, implements, and continually reassesses individualized patient plans of care
  • Administers medications and completes nursing procedures and treatments
  • Performs holistic, ongoing assessments of patient status and responds appropriately to changes in condition
  • Accurately documents care provided, assessments, interventions, and patient responses
  • Communicates and collaborates with all members of the healthcare team; delegates appropriately to non-licensed assistive personnel and may float in rotation or as a sitter
Required Qualifications
  • Active Washington State RN license or Compact RN license
  • Active BLS certification required
  • Active NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) certification required
  • Active FHM (Fetal Heart Monitoring) certification required
  • Must practice consistently within the guidelines of the Washington Nurse Practice Act and unit-specific standards
Preferred Experience / Skills
  • Prior experience in Labor & Delivery nursing
  • Familiarity with evidence-based perinatal care practices and workflows
  • Experience educating patients, families, and significant others on relevant health information
