Job description

Human Resources Coordinator

This Human Resources Coordinator position will perform a variety of confidential human resources and administrative duties. Duties to include, but not limited to:

  • Perform responsibilities on full scope of HR duties including recruiting, hiring, compensation, job classifications, training/development, transfers, disciplinary actions, benefits, worker's compensation, safety and payroll maintenance.
  • Perform recruiting functions company-wide (i.e. job postings, resume review, phone interviews, applications, interview scheduling, references, etc.).
  • Administer and manage benefit programs (i.e. FMLA, health insurance, STD, LTD, Life Insurance, etc.).
  • Assist with employee relation projects (i.e. employee activities, luncheons, anniversary awards, etc.).
  • Assist with new hires by completing pre-employment paperwork, reference checks, and preparing/presenting new hire orientation material.
  • Conduct employment verifications.
  • Assist workers compensation claims, vehicle accidents, damages to include setting up drug screens, reporting to insurance company, ensuring paperwork is fully completed and managing claims.
  • Handle safety training, reporting and tracking.
  • Logging, tracking and managing temporary labor companies and invoices.
  • Run & distribute HR reports and calendars to appropriate managers.
  • Perform bill reconciliations and enter invoices.
  • Maintain and audit confidential employee files.
  • Handles communications efficiently, accurately & discreetly.
  • Completes various administrative/clerical tasks, projects and other duties as assigned.
  • Must be at least 21 years of age.
  • Minimum 2 years Human Resources experience required.
  • Mature judgment regarding handling of sensitive and confidential information.
  • Knowledge of HR Laws and Regulations is preferred.
  • Previous benefits administration, safety training and recruiting experience preferred.
  • Proficient knowledge of basic computer applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint & Outlook).
  • Previous experience with UKG preferred.
  • Must have excellent attention to detail and ability to multi-task in organized fashion.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, time management & organizational skills.
  • Must have excellent ability to communicate to all levels of employees both written and orally.
  • Must be able to work OT if needed.
  • Must possess and be able to maintain valid driver's license.
  • Must have and be able to maintain 100/300/100 liability insurance limits
  • Must be able to pass background checks (i.e. Police backgrounds, reference checks)
  • Motor vehicle record will be pulled to establish employment eligibility: no DUI, reckless driving, super speeder or hit & run in the past five years & no more than two moving violations in the past three years.
