JOB SUMMARY:

The General Labourer provides hands-on manual labour to assist all trades, contractors, project and site personnel as directed.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Daily miscellaneous cleanup of building and site
  • Miscellaneous site organization and moving materials
  • Heating and Hoarding
  • Dewatering
  • Temporary Lighting
  • Assist apprentices and carpenters
  • General labour for other duties as assigned
  • Flagging

UNIQUE WORKING CONDITIONS:

The General Labourer is required to work outdoors (subject to weather conditions) and indoors as required. Traveling to job sites is required.

REPORTING RELATIONSHIPS:

Direction Received From:

  • Labour Foreperson

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • WHMIS
  • CSTS an asset but not required
  • Fall Arrest an asset but not required
  • Flagging training an asset but not required
  • Minimum 1 year experience in a similar role is preferred but not required

ONTHEJOB ORIENTATION: 3 - 6 months to become proficient
