About the Role:
A Construction General Laborer supports commercial and industrial construction projects by assisting skilled trades, maintaining jobsite organization, and performing physically demanding tasks. This role plays a critical part in keeping projects on schedule by handling materials, preparing work areas, and ensuring safe and clean jobsite conditions. Laborers work in active construction environments and must follow strict safety protocols.
Specific Responsibilities:
  • Assist skilled trades such as electricians, plumbers, carpenters, and low voltage technicians as directed.
  • Load, unload, and stage construction materials, tools, and equipment.
  • Perform site cleanup including debris removal, sweeping, and organizing work areas.
  • Move and distribute materials throughout the jobsite.
  • Dig trenches, backfill, and assist with minor demolition when required.
  • Operate basic hand tools and power tools safely and effectively.
  • Support installation of materials including conduit, cable tray, framing components, and other construction systems as directed.
  • Set up and break down temporary barriers, signage, and safety equipment.
  • Follow all OSHA safety standards and jobsite safety procedures.
  • Work on ladders, scaffolding, and lifts as required.
  • Perform physically demanding tasks including lifting 50 to 75 pounds, bending, kneeling, climbing, and standing for extended periods.
  • Work in various indoor and outdoor conditions depending on project requirements.
  • Reliable transportation required and ability to report to the jobsite on time daily.
