Job Description

Position Summary

The Corporate Laboratory Specialist is responsible for managing the complete, end-to-end lifecycle of analytical samples, serving as the central coordinator between internal corporate projects and external third-party testing laboratories. The professional in this position ensures strict data integrity and compliance by meticulously tracking sample progress within the Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS) and enforcing rigorous Chain of Custody (CoC) and QA/QC standards. Furthermore, the role involves verifying raw analytical data from external labs and synthesizing those findings into actionable, structured reports for laboratory management to support critical project milestones.

Essential Duties/Responsibilities:

Oversees the receipt, log-in, cataloging, and temporary storage of all incoming samples across multiple corporate projects and programs

Manages the end-to-end sample submission process to third-party analytical laboratories, ensuring proper documentation, Chain of Custody (CoC), and compliance with shipping protocols

Ensures all analytical testing and sample progress are meticulously logged in the Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS) in accordance with company protocols and strict compliance guidelines

Collects, verifies, and compiles analytical data and test certificates received from external testing facilities

Translates complex raw analytical data into concise, structured reports and present findings to the Lab Director/Manager to support project milestones

Implements and monitor strict quality assurance (QA) and quality control (QC) standards to ensure data integrity and accuracy

Other duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Biology, Food Science, Laboratory Science, or a related scientific discipline

3+ years of experience in laboratory management, analytical chemistry, or high-volume sample coordination

Proficient in Microsoft Office

Preferred Qualifications:

Strong hands-on experience utilizing and configuring Laboratory Information Management Systems (LIMS)

Exceptional detail orientation and multitasking capabilities to manage multiple program sample streams simultaneously

Work well with others in a team environment

Highly organized; superior time management skills

Exceptional communication skills both written and oral

Good math and computer skills

Self starter; self motivated
