Job Title: Production Supervisor (On-Site)
Location: South Windsor, Connecticut
Work Model: Fully Onsite
Job Type: Full-Time
Shift: EWN - Sunday, Monday, Tuesday & Alt Saturday 6:00 PM to 6:00 AM
Client is seeking an experienced Production Supervisor to oversee production floor operations, labor management, machine utilization, workflow coordination, and quality standards within a high-volume manufacturing and print production environment.
The ideal candidate will have strong supervisory experience in production/manufacturing operations, excellent leadership skills, and the ability to maximize throughput, efficiency, and operational performance while ensuring compliance with quality and SLA requirements.
Key Responsibilities
Production Operations & Workflow Management

  • Ensure all Service Level Agreements (SLAs) and client production deadlines are met efficiently.
  • Prioritize production floor workflows to ensure SEC and contractual compliance requirements are achieved.
  • Monitor production lines to maximize throughput and control labor costs.
  • Coordinate resources across departments to improve efficiency and maintain quality standards.
  • Delegate production activities and ensure machines are properly assigned and utilized.

Staffing, Scheduling & Labor Management

  • Oversee labor operations across the production floor to ensure operational efficiency.
  • Coordinate with temporary staffing agencies to adjust labor based on production volumes.
  • Plan, monitor, and schedule staffing levels according to workflow demands.
  • Ensure shift turnover communication is completed effectively through verbal updates and daily email handoffs.
  • Cross-train associates across production operations to improve flexibility and reduce labor costs.

Equipment & Maintenance Coordination

  • Monitor machine uptime and minimize downtime across production operations.
  • Coordinate preventative maintenance schedules with operations teams.
  • Monitor inventory levels for machine parts and coordinate with vendors as required.
  • Ensure proper equipment utilization and operational readiness across all shifts.

Training, Compliance & Quality

  • Ensure operators receive proper technical, ISO, and quality training.
  • Maintain compliance with operational procedures, safety standards, and quality requirements.
  • Promote a high-quality, safety-focused production environment.
  • Support continuous operational improvement initiatives.
