Job Description
Candidates living within 60 miles of the facility will have a local rate of $73
RESPONSIBLITIES
  • Screens pap smears
    and non-gynecological slides and reports results
    according to established protocol.
  • Reviews patient history
    in association with screening cytology
    slides.
  • Documents workload and submits weekly reports for review. Reviews discrepant cases
    with Pathologist to improve quality patient care.
  • Maintains a False Negative
    Proportion (FNP) of± 1-2% of the lab average
    but does not exceed a 5% overall FNP.
  • Maintains an 80-100% Diagnostic Correlation with the Pathologist.
  • Maintains gyn statistical analysis rates of± 5% as compared
    to the laboratory's overall rates.
  • Maintains individual
    workload limit as set forth by the supervisor/director, derived from the employee's 6 month performance appraisal.
  • Completes special assignments as designated by the supervisor in a timely and professional
    manner.
  • Assists with Fine Needle
    Aspiration (FNA) adequacy assessments throughout various procedure
    areas in the hospital.
