Job Title: Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (Locum)

Facility Overview:
We are seeking a passionate and skilled Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) to join a dedicated anesthesiology team within a Level 1 trauma center located in Detroit, Michigan. This temporary position provides an opportunity to work in a dynamic hospital environment, offering flexible day shift options of 8, 10, or 12 hours while ensuring comprehensive anesthesia care across various surgical procedures.

Job Responsibilities:
  • Deliver anesthesia care for a range of inpatient surgical procedures, including general surgery and neurosurgical cases.
  • Collaborate closely with anesthesiologists, surgeons, and perioperative staff, including RNs and surgical technologists.
  • Provide preoperative assessments and patient education.
  • Administer anesthetics safely and monitor patients throughout surgical procedures.
  • Manage ventilation and oversee physician-administered regional anesthesia.
  • Respond to patient emergencies in coordination with the healthcare team.
  • Document patient care and anesthesia management accurately in Epic EMR.
  • Participate in ongoing quality improvement and patient safety initiatives.
  • Work day shifts only (8, 10, or 12 hours) with no on-call or weekend requirements.
Qualifications:
  • Must have current NBCRNA certification.
  • Active Michigan RN License (required prior to presentation).
  • Certification in BLS, ACLS, and PALS (AHA).
  • Clean malpractice and license history.
  • Must be able to work full-time; willingness to work variable day shifts (8, 10, or 12 hours).
  • Previous experience as a CRNA; new graduate candidates will not be considered.
Licensure and Certification Requirements:
