Job description: Beginner's Edge Sports Training is searching for Camp Counselors for our Summer Break Sports Camps in Scottsdale Arizona. We run a multi-sport camp program where kids can exercise and gain exposure to a variety of sports and athletic activities. If you are an athlete, educator, just enjoy working with children this is a perfect fit for you. There is also a possibility for this position to convert to a permanent part-time position. 


Dates:

  • June 15 - June 26

Ideal Candidates:

  • Love working with children as much as they love all sports!
  • BIG personalities
  • Works well in a team setting
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Loud and energetic
  • Well-rounded in sports
  • Extremely reliable and punctual
  • 1 year experience teaching or youth coaching experience (preferred)
  • Looking for a part-time or seasonal position

Requirements:

  • Be able to commit to weekly schedules
  • Be able to stand and walk for at least 1-hour increments
  • Be able to lift and/or carry up to 40 lbs.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Implement curriculum-based activities for multiple sports, including but not limited to: Soccer, Baseball, Basketball, Track, Football, and Volleyball.
  • Instruct sports-based activities
  • Ensure activities are conducted in a safe and organized manner
  • Maintain active supervision of groups up to 20 children
  • Maintaining a clean and sanitary play area and facility

Hours: Summer break camp runs June 15 to June 26th, Monday through Friday 8:30 am - 4:30pm.
