Job description

Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and reliable temporary production cook to join our team for a short-term assignment. The ideal candidate will have experience in food preparation, cooking, and kitchen organization, ensuring that all meals are prepared according to established menus and safety standards.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Prepare and cook meals according to established menus and supervisor instructions.
  • Ensure compliance with all state and federal food safety and hygiene regulations, including proper food handling, storage, and sanitation.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization in the kitchen and food preparation areas, following all safety protocols.
  • Assist with additional kitchen duties, including dishwashing, inventory management, and preparation of ingredients, as directed by supervisors or team members.
  • Work flexible shifts, including weekends and holidays, as scheduled to support kitchen operations.

Minimum Qualifications and Experience

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • One year of related experience and/or training in a food service or kitchen environment, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Knowledge of food safety practices and sanitation standards.
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.

Approximate starting hourly rate: $16.00 - $17.00. The wage offered could be above or below range based on education and experience as it relates to the job description.
