Job description

Our manufacturing client is currently seeking a highly organized, detail-oriented, and collaborative Production Coordinator for their West Edmonton location. This is a full-time, temporary-to-permanent opportunity, supporting the day-to-day coordination of production schedules, internal communications, and workflow. The successful candidate will thrive in a fast-paced environment, enjoy working cross-functionally with multiple departments, and be comfortable balancing administrative responsibilities with regular interaction on the production floor. Responsibilities:
  • Coordinate daily production schedules and workflow to ensure customer orders are completed efficiently and on time
  • Communicate with production, sales, operations, and other internal departments to ensure priorities and timelines are met
  • Prepare and maintain production schedules, work orders, reports, and supporting documentation
  • Update and manage production data within the ERP system and Excel spreadsheets
  • Monitor production progress and proactively identify, communicate, and help resolve scheduling or production delays
  • Track inventory levels and material availability to support production planning
  • Maintain accurate production records, databases, and documentation
  • Walk the production floor to coordinate with technicians and monitor workflow
  • Support inventory control and collaborate with quality assurance and operations teams
  • Promote and adhere to company health and safety policies and procedures

Requirements:
  • Previous experience in a production coordination, scheduling, operations, or manufacturing support role is considered an asset
  • Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Outlook and Excel, with the ability to work confidently in ERP systems
  • Exceptional organizational and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across departments
  • High attention to detail and strong problem-solving abilities
  • Comfortable working in both an office and production environment
  • Steel-toed boots are required, as this is a safety-sensitive position
  • Willingness to provide occasional after-hours support on an as-needed basis (completed remotely and paid as overtime)
