About the position

The Inventory Specialist is responsible for monitoring and adjusting inventory levels to ensure a sufficient supply of products to meet demand. The Inventory Specialist also routinely verifies the supply by physically counting the items in the warehouse and identifies any discrepancies.  

What you'll do:

  • Monitor and update inventory records
  • Monitor and record stock transfers and produce inventory reports as required
  • Manage the daily cycle count program with warehouse personnel
  • Assist in annual physical inventory
  • Prepare and assist with tank farm reconciliation
  • Monthly reconciliation of customer and supplier consignment inventory, third party warehouse and satellite inventory. 
  • Coordinate quarantine product review and identify products to be classified as waste for disposal
  • Verify return of goods and receipt
  • Process inventory adjustments
  • Research and investigate inventory discrepancies
  • Review aged inventory with the Sales Department 
  • Participate in regional demurrage reviews

What you'll need:

  • University degree or college diploma with two (2) years of related inventory or purchasing work experience is required
  • Must have very strong organizational skills and the ability to work independently
  • Must possess strong written and oral communication skills
  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (specifically Excel, Outlook, Word, and PowerPoint)
  • Tableau and SAP experience are considered an asset
