Job description

Overview

We are seeking a boardcertified Gastroenterologist to provide evaluation and treatment for patients with digestive system conditions. The role includes outpatient consultations, diagnostic procedures, and endoscopic interventions such as upper endoscopy and colonoscopy. The position requires a clinician who is effective in a teambased medical environment and comfortable working across multiple clinical functions.

Qualifications
  • MD or DO from an accredited institution

  • Board certification in Gastroenterology

  • Valid Georgia medical license and DEA registration

  • Experience in outpatient or procedural settings is preferred

  • Ability to work effectively in communities with limited access to specialty care

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills

  • Bilingual proficiency (English/Spanish) is beneficial

Responsibilities
  • Evaluate and treat gastrointestinal conditions across patient populations.
  • Perform GI procedures including endoscopy, colonoscopy, and biopsies.
  • Provide pre and postprocedure care in coordination with surgical center personnel.
  • Coordinate with primary care and behavioral health teams to align treatment plans.
  • Offer patient education related to condition management and treatment expectations.
  • Document clinical encounters and procedures in the EMR system.
  • Participate in quality initiatives.
