WHAT YOU WILL DO:
We are looking for a skilled and detail-oriented AV Commissioning Engineer to lead the testing, configuration, and fine-tuning of complex audio-visual systems. In this role, you'll collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure AV systems are delivered to the highest quality standards and meet client expectations. This is an excellent opportunity for a hands-on AV professional with strong technical acumen and a passion for delivering world-class AV experiences.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Collaborate with project teams to review and understand AV designs and specifications
  • Perform on-site testing and commissioning of AV systems, ensuring full functionality
  • Configure, program, and integrate AV components including displays, projectors, audio processors, and control systems
  • Calibrate AV systems for optimal audio and video performance (levels, resolutions, color accuracy)
  • Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues during commissioning and handover
  • Validate signal flow and connectivity across all AV components
  • Implement and test AV control systems (touch panels, automation, user interfaces)
  • Document configuration settings, commissioning results, and system adjustments
  • Provide training and operational support to end-users and clients
  • Partner with designers and programmers to optimize system performance and user experience

ESSENTIAL CRITERIA:
  • Previous experience in AV commissioning or a similar technical AV role
  • Strong understanding of AV hardware and protocols (HDMI, HDBaseT, Dante, AES67)
  • Proficient in AV calibration techniques and the use of testing tools (e.g., signal generators, analyzers)
  • Familiarity with AV control and DSP platforms such as Crestron, Extron, Biamp, or QSC
  • Exceptional troubleshooting and diagnostic skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Detail-oriented and highly organized, with a commitment to high-quality delivery
  • Able to work both independently and in a team setting
  • Flexibility to travel to client/project sites as needed

DESIRABLE CRITERIA:
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Audio Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent experience
  • Industry certifications such as CTS (Certified Technology Specialist)
  • Experience in enterprise environments or large-scale AV deployments
  • Proficiency in control system programming or GUI customization
  • Familiarity with remote monitoring tools or AV over IP technologies
  • Experience training end-users and conducting technical walkthroughs
