Temporary Energy Services Specialist

Full Time

York County Community Action Corporation (YCCAC) is seeking a Temporary Energy Services Specialist to support our Economic Opportunity & Housing Stability team during the busy heating assistance season. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys helping people, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and is committed to providing outstanding customer service.

As a Specialist, you will provide front-line support to individuals applying for energy assistance programs, including HEAP, ECIP, and AMP. Responsibilities include:

  • Welcome and assist clients in person, by phone, voicemail, and electronically.
  • Conduct client intake interviews and assist with applications and required documentation.
  • Explain program requirements, timelines, and next steps.
  • Review applications for completeness and follow up on missing information.
  • Enter and update client information accurately in agency and state databases.

Successful candidates will have:

  • Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong verbal and written communication abilities.
  • Great attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel.
  • A commitment to maintaining confidentiality and treating all applicants with dignity and respect.

Minimum Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • One year of customer service, administrative support, reception, intake, records management, eligibility support, or related experience preferred.
  • Must not have an active exclusion or debarment record in the federal System for Award Management (SAM).
