PURPOSE OF JOB:

The Talent Acquisition Specialist will be the second addition to our growing team. This position will be front and center to all things recruiting. The TA Specialist will focus primarily on identifying, engaging, and presenting top talent to hiring managers — building strong pipelines across our technical and commercial teams — while also supporting core HR programs across the employee lifecycle. This will be a hybrid role in San Mateo, CA. on a contract/temporary basis.

The ideal candidate is a natural relationship builder with high ownership who takes pride in flawless execution and is comfortable working in a fast-moving environment with evolving priorities.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Full cycle hiring: Managing the end-to-end recruitment process, from posting job ads and screening resumes to negotiating job offers.
  • Proactively source passive and active candidates through LinkedIn Recruiter, job boards, industry associations, employee referrals, and networking.
  • Build and maintain talent pipelines for recurring and hard-to-fill roles across R&D, quality, regulatory, manufacturing, and commercial functions.
  • Stakeholder collaboration: Partnering closely with hiring managers and department leaders to understand skill gaps and provide consultative advice for best hiring practices.
  • Maintain data integrity: Own accurate, up-to-date candidate records and workflow tracking in the ATS (ADP workforce now)
  • Coordinate interview scheduling and candidate communications to ensure a positive experience throughout the process.
  • Employer branding: Represent Route 92 Medical authentically across candidate touchpoints, contributing to a strong employer brand in the medical device space.
  • Support compliance with federal, state, and industry-specific employment regulations.
  • Other duties as assigned.

SKILLS FOR SUCCESS:

  • Ideal candidate will work in San Mateo, CA and remotely - supporting all time zones across the US with the flexibility to support the central time zone.
  • Working knowledge of employment law and HR compliance and varying state laws (FMLA, ADA, EEO).
  • Strong communication skills — written and verbal — with the ability to represent candidates and the company professionally.
  • Ability to manage a steady requisition load while staying organized and responsive.
  • Working knowledge of ADP Workforce Now.
  • Proficiency with LinkedIn Recruiter and other sourcing platforms.
  • PHR or SHRM a plus.

REQUIRED EDUCATION:

  • High school diploma

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE:

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in a full lifecycle talent acquisition role, with a strong emphasis on sourcing and candidate development.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience with the demonstrated ability to build pipelines and present qualified candidate slates.
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience recruiting in a highly regulated industry (medical device, life sciences, biotech, or similar).

BENEFITS & PERKS

This temporary role is staffed through InSync, who will be your employer of record for the duration of the assignment. Insync provides compensation and benefits in accordance with California requirements, including paid sick leave accrual. As a member of the Route 92 Medical team during your assignment, you'll work alongside our HR, Talent Acquisition, and broader cross-functional teams, with access to our facilities and the chance to contribute to meaningful work in neurovascular care.
