Pinnacle Primary Health Care Inc. is seeking a dedicated and fully licensed Mental Health Counselor to join our innovative team. This full-time remote position offers licensed professionals the opportunity to provide critical mental health support to our clients from the comfort of their own space, while also engaging in our outpatient office community. Our compensation package ranges from $70,000 to $100,000 per year, based on your qualifications and experience.

The role of a Mental Health Counselor at Pinnacle involves a variety of responsibilities that ensure comprehensive mental health care for our clients:

• Conduct thorough assessments and evaluations to determine individual clients’ mental health needs, developing tailored treatment plans to address those needs effectively.
• Provide evidence-based therapeutic services, utilizing a repertoire of methods for individual, family, and group therapy sessions, including CBT, DBT, and solution-focused therapy.
• Work collaboratively with a network of case managers, psychiatrists, and medical professionals to ensure holistic care delivery and support for each client.
• Offer immediate crisis intervention to clients experiencing acute distress, employing clinical judgement and empathy to de-escalate situations during emergencies.
• Engage in community outreach programs aimed at mental health education and awareness, working tirelessly to reduce stigma and promote mental well-being.

This position primarily serves a diverse clientele in the San Jose area, including individuals from various socio-economic, ethnic, and cultural backgrounds. Our clients often face challenges such as depression, anxiety, trauma, and relationship issues. The following qualifications are essential for candidates interested in this position:

• Active and independent license as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC), Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), or equivalent doctoral degree in Psychology (PsyD).
• Completion of a master’s or higher degree in Social Work, Mental Health Counseling, Marriage and Family Therapy, or Psychology.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively build rapport and therapeutic relationships with clients.
• Demonstrated cultural sensitivity to address the needs of individuals from diverse backgrounds with competence.
• Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage time and maintain precise documentation in accordance with legal and ethical standards.

While not mandatory, the following experiences will enhance your candidacy:

• Prior experience in community mental health or similar settings.
• Familiarity with electronic health records (EHR) systems and teletherapy platforms.
• Previous involvement in educational or outreach initiatives focusing on mental health.
