Job description

We are looking for a Part-Time PM Cook to join our amazing team at Arborview Court and help us focus on our four core values: Dignity, Collaboration, Compassion, and Transparency. Come join us at Park Vista, where we 'Make It Matter' for our residents, families and team members.

COOK WAGE: $17.50 - $18.50 per hour

  • PM Cook Shift Differential: $0.75/hour, plus $2.00 weekend shift differential

COOK HOURS: 3:30pm-7:00pm

COOK ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:

  • Prepare quality meals following recipes and menus provided
  • Cook will present food in an appetizing manner by plating neatly prior to serving
  • Wash dishes and use dishwasher safely, as needed
  • Ensure proper materials are available and preparation is completed for each meal service
  • Cook will adjust menu and recipes as needed per inventory concerns, unforeseen issues, etc.
  • Coordinate and supervise shift operations, including temperatures checks, cleaning logs and garbage control – in the absences of the Culinary Assistant / Director of Culinary Services
  • Follow safe serving and handling guidelines at all times
  • Assure proper storage of leftovers, including labeling
  • Cook is responsible for taking temps and ensuring proper documentation (hot food/cold food/dishwasher/fridge/freezer/water temps/dry storage)
  • Maintain food storage and rotation in compliance with all state/local regulations
  • Maintain all culinary spaces, supplies and food in an orderly and sanitary manner to meet all state/local regulation + food safety code
  • Cook will comply with regulations regarding hair covering and hand protection during food preparation and serving
  • Keep all kitchen/servery areas clean, tidy, and clutter-free; ensure trash removal
