Job Summary:
In the Mix-Signal and Linear Division (MSLD) we are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Validation Engineer to join our staff. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in electrical engineering, with a focus on validating the performance and reliability. As a key member of our engineering team, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that our new products meet or exceed the rigorous standards required by our diverse clientele.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute detailed validation plans for new designs, including defining test requirements, creating test fixtures, and selecting appropriate equipment.
- Collaborate with design engineers to understand architectures and identify critical performance parameters.
- Perform bench-level testing and characterization, analyzing performance across various operating conditions.
- Troubleshoot and debug new ICs to identify root causes of failures and work with the design team to implement solutions.
- Document validation results and provide comprehensive reports, including recommendations for product improvements.
- Support the creation of datasheets and application notes by providing accurate performance data.
- Participate in design reviews and provide validation perspectives to ensure product quality and reliability.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of semiconductor technology trends, testing methodologies, and industry best practices.
Requirements/Qualifications:
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, or a related field. A Master's degree is a plus.
- Minimum of 10-15 years of hands-on experience in validation or a closely related field.
- Strong understanding of semiconductors (Op-Amp, Comperator, DigiPOT, Temp sensor, SAR ADC, Delta-Sigma ADC, Pipeline ADC, etc.) and their applications.
- Proficiency with lab equipment such as oscilloscopes, Audio Precision, signal generators, spectrum analyzers, and automated test equipment NI PXIe.
- Experience with scripting and automation of test processes (Python, LabVIEW, MATLAB, etc.).
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a detail-oriented mindset.
- Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to convey technical concepts to a diverse audience.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment as well as independently with minimal supervision.
