Job Summary
The Department of Computer Science at CU Boulder encourages applications for a Professional Temporary Course Assistant! This role will aid instructors with online curriculum review and development, grading coursework, and support of CSPB online courses.

What Your Key Responsibilities Will Be
The professional course assistant will assist instructors with grading, reviewing assignments and course materials, course set-up and other duties related to course development. They may also assist in responding to student discussion posts, and "interview grading" assessments among other student support duties.
What You Should Know
This is a hybrid, temporary role with a variable schedule. Hours worked may fluctuate week-to-week based on the needs of the team.
What We Can Offer
The hire rate for this part-time position will be $30.00 per hour.

What We Require
Positions at this level typically require a Bachelor's degree, but an equivalent combination of education and experience may substitute.
What You Will Need
  • Experience and specific knowledge of CSPB courses.
  • Ability to respond to student questions in online forums (as demonstrated in previous CSPB
  • discussion forums).
  • Minimum 3.5 GPA from the CSPB program.
  • Coding skills in C++ and Python.
  • Excellent time management and communication skills.

What We Would Like You to Have
  • A graduate of the CU Boulder Applied Computer Science Program (CSPB - Postbaccalaureate Program) or will have taken 25 credits or more in the program and is longer enrolled in the CSPB Program.
  • Experience as a CSPB course assistant or grading as a student in the program.
  • Professional software engineering or coding experience.
