Technical diploma or trade, or an engineering degree from an accredited program 

5 years of experience in manufacturing maintenance

Solid leadership skills

Excellent verbal and written communication skills 

Knowledge of manufacturing processes including Lean and Six Sigma

TheMaintenance Plannerwill report to the Maintenance Planning, Team Leader and serve as a technical lead in the development and continuous improvement of the Maintenance process. Key focus areas include safety, equipment reliability, and work plan design and development. The Maintenance Planner will be expected to support the Maintenance Team Leader by owning the Maintenance Work Process for planning Preventive and Corrective work orders.  The successful candidate will be expected to conduct themselves in a professional, respectful and ethical manner at all times, carry out all job responsibilities in accordance with site safety rules and expectations, actively participate in the innovation and improvement of the site and company, and "find a better way every day." 

  • Develop and implement the Preventive Maintenance (PM) program, including creating and updating model work orders and the PM schedule for assigned equipment
  • Manage the work order backlog to ensure approved corrective work is properly planned and prepared
  • Support the development and maintenance of the JD Edwards hierarchy and bill of materials (BOM) as equipment is installed or updated
  • Improve maintenance performance and cost through well planned work
  • Work with operators and process technicians to develop, improve and monitor key processes and procedures
  • Assist in writing standard work documents, job aids, and maintenance technician training programs
  • Work cross functionally to assist with the planning, installation, start-up and performance validation of new equipment as well as maintain existing equipment
  • Support the maintenance escalation plan by answering off-hours phone calls and/or coming on-site to support shift maintenance with equipment repairs to restore production.
