Job description

Description
Under the general supervision of an Imaging Technologist, assists in the assigned department modality to provide for timely throughput of all patients by assisting technologists and clerical staff with various tasks. The position provides students with the opportunity to develop technical skills, build confidence in their abilities, and better prepare them for their future in Diagnostic Imaging. The program is intended to help prepare for national certification and future employment at Wayne Memorial Hospital upon successful completion of program. The program is designed to be a temporary position (12-months) and to help transition to a Registered General Radiology Technician position at WMH.
Minimum Requirements
High School graduate or equivalent; Must be currently enrolled in an approved Radiology Technologist Program and senior/ second year student. Must have a GPA of at least 3.0.
Must obtain radiological technologist license within one year and ideally would continue to work for WMH upon graduation.
