Job description

THE POSITION The Department of Human Services (DHS), Bureau of Policy, Planning, and Program Development is seeking a Human Services Program Representative 1 who is excited to contribute to programs that strengthen behavioral health services across the state. This role offers opportunities to learn, collaborate, and support projects that promote recovery and well-being. You will work with partners at many levels to help improve services and outcomes.

DESCRIPTION OF WORK This position helps guide the development, monitoring, and support of peer service programs and other behavioral health initiatives across Pennsylvania. You will work with partners, review program materials, and support the expansion of key services that aid individuals and families.

As a Human Services Program Representative 1, you will perform the following duties: Program Review: Evaluate peer service descriptions and monitor providers for compliance Technical Assistance: Provide training, guidance, and presentations to partners and stakeholders Policy Support: Review legislation, assist with policy development, and write reports and materials Stakeholder Coordination: Work with counties, universities, organizations, and agencies on program planning Program Development: Help design, implement, and improve peer service programs statewide Monitoring Activities: Assess provider operations through visits and documentation reviews Interested in learning more. Work Schedule and Additional Information: Full-time employment, 37.5 hours per week Work hours are 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 60-minute lunch

Telework: You may have the opportunity to work from home (telework) part-time, up to 3 days per week. You will be required to report to the Harrisburg worksite address listed in this posting two days per week. In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection and work from an approved location inside Pennsylvania.

If you are unable to telework, you will have the option to report to the headquarters office in Harrisburg. The ability to telework is subject to change at any time. Additional details may be provided during the interview.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY QUALIFICATIONS Minimum Experience and Training Requirements: Three years of professional experience developing, implementing, or evaluating a human service program, and a bachelor's degree; or An equivalent combination of experience and training.
