This role combines meaningful one-on-one work with families, coaching and fidelity-based training, and community partnership building to ensure families can access services that make a real difference.
What You will Do:
  • Deliver SafeCare® home-visiting sessions - Use observational assessment, modeling, role-playing, and strengths-based feedback to support parents and caregivers.
  • Engage and retain families - Build trust and maintain strong engagement in a voluntary program to support consistent participation.
  • Complete training and maintain fidelity - Attend SafeCare® Colorado Home Visitor Training, meet certification requirements, and participate in ongoing coaching and supervision.
  • Manage caseload and documentation - Maintain a caseload of approximately 12 to 18 families (full-time) and upload required audio recordings, documents, and program data daily.
  • Build referral relationships and conduct outreach - Connect with community agencies, give presentations, attend events, distribute materials provided by ACECC and the Office of Early Childhood (OEC), and track outreach efforts to strengthen referrals.

What Makes You a Great Fit
  • Authentic & Approachable - You build trust through honest, respectful communication.
  • Accountable & Collaborative - You lead by example and celebrate team wins.
  • Proactive & Courageous - You take initiative, embrace challenges, and learn from experience.
  • Empowering - You help others grow and thrive.

What You Need to Be Successful:
Education:
  • Associate degree (AA) in Early Childhood Education or a related field is required; Bachelor's degree is preferred.

Experience:
  • 1+ years of experience in home visitation and/or direct services to families with young children is required (an equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered).
  • Experience with young children and knowledge of early childhood development is preferred.

Specialized Skills:
  • Candidates should be comfortable providing services in home and community-based settings, including environments that may be cluttered, unsanitary, poorly lit, or without air conditioning. The role requires strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills; solid computer proficiency, including Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook; and the ability to learn program-specific systems.
  • Successful candidates will be organized, dependable, and able to manage schedules, prioritize tasks, and travel to in-home visits and off-site meetings. The position requires openness to supervision, feedback, and coaching, with the ability to follow program protocols consistently. Some evening and weekend availability may be required.
